Is Fatty Liver Disease a Concern to you? How to Prevent Fatty Liver???

I attended Live With Dr Chen's talk (Chapter 2) at Resorts World Sentosa on 21st May. 

It was a very educational and I get to further enhance my Nutritional Immunology Knowledge to be able to serve better too =)

One of my great learnings was on Fatty Liver Disease!!



***Even a 5 year old suffered from Fatty Liver Disease due to Nutrition Misconception. 

People of higher risk to get Fatty Liver Disease are : 

Alcohol drinker
Obese due to unhealthy diet and lifestyle
People who use synthetic vitamins mineral pills (chemically made food), such as Vitamin A, E and iron pills

(as the above add burden and damaging the liver) 

Do you know also : 

• Drinking Kombucha,
Taking herbal medication  (such as 何首乌, 田七, etc etc)
• Using Pain killers (especially paracetamol)

are hurting and damaging your liver and lead to Fatty Liver Disease too? 

Fatty Liver Disease has  NO medicine to cure!!

Most of the time, it stay hidden in the body until symptoms such as

  • Jaundice
  • body turns yellow
  • Swollen Liver
  • Painful feeling on liver 

surface only the person discovered about their liver is deteriorating!!!!!!!

As liver has no sensory gland, so when this happens, the liver might already be hardened follows by liver cancer. 

(Many of the Normal Liver Testings may not indicate the accurate condition of your liver condition) 



***Once the liver reach Cirrhosis (Liver Hardening), it's irreversible.

Is your Breakfast Healthy?

Hi Friends, 

What breakfast do you normally eat in the morning?
  • Nasi lemak? 
  • Toasted butter bun?
  • Fried Bee Hoon with luncheon meat?
  • Hot dog bun? 
  • Curry Puff? 
  • Wanton Noodle? 
  • KFC or McD's breakfast?
  • with coffee/ tea to keep you alert?


Due to fast pace and rush hour in the morning, many of us may resort to one of the above list to fill up our empty stomach in the morning! 

However, are the above food healthy? **Ponder**

Let's see the below the criteria to unhealthy and healthy breakfast!

1. Smoked/ cured meat such as ham, bacon, sausage

I remembered there was one day when i brought my elder daughter to watch a movie, and in front of her was a cheesy hotdog offered to her, i was glad that she choose not to eat it despite of the temptation as she understand it's not a healthy food. =)

Is Wheat Flour a Silent Killer in your food?

Thanks to Dr Chen's Previous session on Folic Acid, which I've learned that fortification of folic acid into FLOUR which may cause harm in our body. 

  • Excessive intake of folic acid (synthetic) into our body may cause the bad cells to escalate the mutation process to become cancer cells. 
  • Therefore, avoid taking too much foods that are rich in synthetic source of vitamins and minerals, such as bread, cereals, biscuits and drinks that have been fortified with synthetic vitamins and minerals. 


With the possibility of exceeding the daily required intake of vitamins from the daily foods unknowingly, do you agree that taking Vitamin pills will even bring up the level of synthetic intake to the body knowingly?
