Researchers have uncovered widespread evidence of a link between traditional Chinese herbal remedies andliver canceracross Asia, a study said on Wednesday (Oct 18).
The findings suggest stronger measures are needed to prevent people from consuming chemicals called aristolochic acids (AA), which are derived from the woody vines of the aristolochia plant family, said the report in the journal Science Translational Medicine.
The acids can be found in some traditional Chinese medicines that are given during childbirth, to prevent parasites and promote healing.
Organic food has become popular among many health conscious people especially parents of young children as they believe the organic food is free of harmful pesticides. However, is organic food really free from pesticides? According to the above news article, we can learn that there are many 'organic pesticides' which are harmful to humans found in organic harvest!!
The word "organic" refers to the way farmers grow and process agricultural products, such as fruits, vegetables, grains, dairy products and meat. Organic farming practices are designed to meet the following goals:
Enhance soil and water quality
Provide safe, healthy livestock habitats
Enable natural livestock behavior
Promote a self-sustaining cycle of resources on a farm
Materials or practices not permitted in organic farming include:
Synthetic fertilizers to add nutrients to the soil
Sewage sludge as fertilizer
Most synthetic pesticides for pest control
Irradiation to preserve food or to eliminate disease or pests
Genetic engineering, used to improve disease or pest resistance or to improve crop yields
Antibiotics or growth hormones for livestock
Organic crop farming materials or practices may include:
Plant waste left on fields (green manure), livestock manure or compost to improve soil quality
Plant rotation to preserve soil quality and to interrupt cycles of pests or disease
Cover crops that prevent erosion when parcels of land are not in use and to plow into soil for improving soil quality
Mulch to control weeds
Predatory insects or insect traps to control pests
Certain natural pesticides and a few synthetic pesticides approved for organic farming, used rarely and only as a last resort in coordination with a USDA organic certifying agent
Therefore, it's not surprising that you can still find traces of pesticides (being organic/ synthetic) in the organic harvest! So, to me, especially with Chemical Engineering background, the strongest evidence of ORGANIC are through pesticide testings. As this is the ONLY way to prove that the harvest is really free from pesticides. I felt relieved that E.Excel has taken extra steps and commitment in ensuring all the superfood ingredients used in the E.Excel Wholesome Food products are free from pesticides through many pesticide and poisons testings!! The below are the Lists of Pesticides and Poinsons that have been tested by E.Excel manufacturing to ensure they will not exist in the product ingredients. List of Pesticides: List of Poisons:
Product Safety is E.Excel TOP priority. That also explains why E.Excel food products are always in high demand from many pregnant ladies and babies. These are usually group are people who demand highly on healthy and safe health food.
They can consume with peace of mind, without having to worry if it gets contaminated, or having any pesticides/ poison that harm our body unknowingly.

As most of us knows that Collagen is excellent for skin, do you know that Collagen is very beneficial for ouroverall health? Many of our body parts contain collagen! Generally, Collagen gives major functions as shown below: 1. Skin - make our skin more elastic and supple, prevent sagging, wrinkles and fine lines formation 2. Bone density & Joints - Collagen binds calcium mineral in our bone to prevent osteoporosis, Collagen also strengthen the joint cartilage to prevent wear and tear of joints 3. Eyes - Prevent macular degeneration and retain transparency of cornea 4. Muscles - Maintain good posture and impart muscle flexibility, to prevent muscle tear and injury 5. Internal Organs - Collagen lies beneath the surface of internal organs such as stomach, intestines, to protect and strengthen them 6. Blood Vessel Walls - Collagen maintain flexibility and expandability of blood vessel walls to prevent stroke 7. Prevent Cancer - Collagen on the outer walls of blood vessels effectively lock and prevent cancer cells from entering blood vessels and spreading to other parts of the body
There are 5 types of Collagen in our body:
However, we start to lose our collagen at the age of 25 drastically! !
With the unhealthy modern lifestyle hazards which increase the ageing process, our collagen loss are even at more rapid rate!!
Why our body age?
The main culprit is due to FREE RADICALS - which come from atmospheric pollutions, UV rays, our body metabolism, stress and nutrition misconception.
Our exposure to FREE RADICALS are basically EVERYWHERE, ANYTIME, even when we are eating, and sleeping.
Without giving our body a layer of protection via ANTIOXIDANTS to prevent free radical attack, we will suffer from many degenerative diseases soon or later, such as skin sagging, osteoporosis, joint pain, heart diseases, macular degeneration and so on.
How do you replenish your body COLLAGEN?
As we now understand the importance of collagen, there are many collagen products in the market, using different source of collagen such as animal collagen from marine, fish, pig skin, and so on.
Some are taking animal placenta too
What's wrong with taking ANIMAL COLLAGEN drink?
According to the nonprofit organization Environmental Working Group, the average newborn baby has 287 known toxins in his or her umbilical cord blood.
Do you think animal can better protect their placenta as compared to us?
Do you think we can use animal kidney on the kidney failure patients?
The answer is very obvious that animal kidney and our kidney is different.
Do you think we can use animal collagen to replace our body collagen? I believe the answer is also very obvious - NO. OurHUMAN COLLAGENCANNOT be replaced by animal collagen as they are 2 different collagen.
Do you know that when animal collagen enter our digestive system, it will be digested to become an amino acid (a smaller structure of protein), no longer collagen anymore?
Also, why would we want to put ourselves at higher risk of getting cardiovascular diseases and infections due to high cholesterol, calories and contamination risk in animal collagen, such as pig knuckle, pig skin, fish skin and so on?
Do you know that the most contaminated part of the fishis in its skin and liver?
For me, I am taking OXYGINBERRY to give me an excellent layer of protection against FREE RADICALS, therefore to slow down ageing process!
What is OXYGINBERRY?
It is made of wholesome plant superfood: Ginseng Berry, Cactus, Cactus Fruits, Grape Seeds, Rose and Seaweed.
The 6 superfoods are rich in ANTIOXIDANTS that makes our body cells younger, therefore PROMOTE SELF-PRODUCTION of COLLAGEN in our body!
I started taking OXYGINBERRY daily since i was 25 years old in 2007.

I attended Live With Dr Chen's talk (Chapter 2) at Resorts World Sentosa on 21st May. It was a very educational and I get to further enhance my Nutritional Immunology Knowledge to be able to serve better too =)
One of my great learnings was on Fatty Liver Disease!!
***Even a 5 year old suffered from Fatty Liver Disease due to Nutrition Misconception. People of higher risk to get Fatty Liver Disease are :
• Alcohol drinker
• Obese due to unhealthy diet and lifestyle
• People who use synthetic vitamins mineral pills (chemically made food), such as Vitamin A, E and iron pills
(as the above add burden and damaging the liver)
Do you know also :
• Drinking Kombucha,
• Taking herbal medication (such as 何首乌, 田七, etc etc)
• Using Pain killers (especially paracetamol)
are hurting and damaging your liver and lead to Fatty Liver Disease too?
Fatty Liver Disease has NO medicine to cure!!
Most of the time, it stay hidden in the body until symptoms such as
body turns yellow
Painful feeling on liver
surface only the person discovered about their liver is deteriorating!!!!!!!
As liver has no sensory gland, so when this happens, the liver might already be hardened follows by liver cancer. (Many of the Normal Liver Testings may not indicate the accurate condition of your liver condition)
***Once the liver reach Cirrhosis (Liver Hardening), it's irreversible.
How do you take care of your liver when it's still healthy?
Practise Nutritional Immunology Lifestyle by:
Avoiding unhealthy diet such as oily, fried food, synthetic vitamin pills (Do you remove the fish skin/ chicken skin before eating?)
Be medication-free & avoid misuse of medication
Nourish your liver thru Superfoods to cleanse your liver safely, and promote new young liver cell regeneration
For me, I am taking E.Excel Orchestra daily as convenience to protect my liver as
The 2 famous Japanese Longevity Herbs Kumazasa and Ashitaba in Orchestra are very excellent in cleansing our liver besides other health beneficial properties. Read more below about Kumazasa & Ashitaba in Orchestra:
Recently, I'm more prone into taking "Vegetarian" Diet such as:
Yong Tao Fu with all vegetables (no fish balls and meats)
Mixed rice from vegetarian stalls
Normal Mixed rice (with vegetables and no animal meats)
Having a few weeks adopting this 'vegetarian' food diet, i realised that it indeed takes a commitment for a person to stop taking animal meats. It's known that vegetarian diet have many of the benefits to health! According to the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, appropriately planned vegetarian diets, including total vegetarian or vegan diets, are healthful, nutritionally adequate, and may provide health benefits in the prevention and treatment of certain diseases. According to a large-scale study conducted over a 6 year period and published in JAMA Internal Medicine, a journal of American Medical Association, the study shows that Vegetarians lives longer than meat eaters. vegetarians had a 12% lower death rate than their meat-eating counterparts. Vegetarians also had a 19% lower chance of dying from heart disease than meat eater, and lower risk of dying from diabetes and kidney failure. Nevertheless, I realised that vegetarian diets sometimes may NOT be as healthy as we think if the below are our frequent selections: 1. Vegetarian diet comes with processed foods, example mocked meats, which may contain chemical additives and preservatives that are bad for health. 2. Certain vegetarian foods are often deep-fried. Deep fried usually gives higher calories which may lead to obesity. For example, in 100 g of fried tofu, it contains 271 calories. 100 g of fried dough fritter is having 558 calories. Besides, the excess oil and fat are bad for cardiovascular health as the oils are high in Omega 6 which can cause body inflammation and leads to various chronic diseases. 3.Some vegetarian food is prepared using high-heat stir frying or deep frying. This cooking method may destroy the phytochemicals and antioxidants of the plant foods and significantly reduce its nutritional values. 4. Furthermore, vegetarians may be only taking one kind of mushroom (shitake) and rely on it to get polysaccharides nutrients. It's actually more beneficial to consume different types of mushrooms to get different unique types of polysaccharides for different protection functions.
What NUTRITION is especially important for people with Vegetarian Diet? Stay tuned for my upcoming post. Thank you.
