Pros and Cons of Protein Powders in the market

Protein powders commonly use casein, whey, or soy isolate protein.

But there are also other protein powders, such as hydrolyzed protein and wholesome soy protein.

Casein

Protein Casein constitutes about 80% of the protein in milk. It is not the best choice of protein as a supplement.

Casein protein tends to coagulate in the stomach and can be difficult to digest

Whey Protein

Whey is a byproduct of the cheese-making process. It makes up about 20% of the protein in milk.

More and more research has shown that milk products could be detrimental to health.

One study showed that in both men and women, the amount of milk they consumed was also associated with higher levels of a biological stress marker—oxidative stress—which has been associated with aging, cancer, and cardiovascular disease.

Soy Isolate Protein

Soy isolate is commonly a powdered food product that has been isolated from the other components of soy through chemical and biological processes. This is not ideal, as it is missing all of the beneficial components of soy.

Hydrolyzed Protein

Hydrolyzed protein is protein that is broken down through a chemical process. It contains only the component amino acids and no other nutrients. There is not enough proof to show that hydrolyzed protein can build muscles faster than other wholesome sources of protein.

Wholesome Soy Protein

This protein powder is made from soy with minimal processing. Wholesome soy contains not only protein, but also phytochemicals and antioxidants. These nutrients are good for your health and your immune system

LET'S BE A WISE CONSUMER.

Choose a Healthier source of Protein --> WHOLESOME SOY, as you're going to take it on daily basis.

Do not load your body with unhealthy protein source which may compromise your health in the long run.

This is also the reason why do I choose Soypro : made of Wholesome Soy and Jilin Ginseng as compared to other protein powder choice in the market.

Anthocyanins found in colorful fruits like berries , black goji berries and cherries can support bone health in 2 ways: Promote bone formation & preventing bone loss.

They can activate certain pathways and help mesenchymal stem cells develop into osteoblasts -cells that build new cells. This helps make bones stronger and more resistant to fractures.

Eat more Fiber !!!

Cancer Prevention Tips:

1. Eat less red meat.

Red meat is linked to higher risks of colon, rectum, prostate, and pancreatic cancers. Processed meats, including preserved chicken and fish, are associated with colorectal and stomach cancers.

The Third Expert Report from World Cancer Research Fund and the American Institute for Cancer Research states

"There is strong evidence that consumption of red meat and consumption of processed meat are both causes of colorectal cancer."

Red meat contains Neu5Gc, a molecule not produced by humans, yet found in high amounts in malignant tissues. Neu5Gc induces inflammation, which, over time, may promote cancer development where Neu5Gc accumulates in the body.

2. Include more fiber in your diet.

The American Institute for Cancer Research recommends eating at least 30 grams of dietary fiber daily to lower cancer risk.

One medium apple with skin contains about 3.7 grams of fiber.

That means to get all 30 grams of fiber, you would need to eat about eight apples with skin a day.

A high-fiber diet may protect against breast, ovarian, endometrial, and gastrointestinal cancers.

Increasing fiber intake, even by 10 grams, can reduce colorectal cancer risk by 7%.

WHY FIBERTALK?
