Thailand Trip 2016 with family

I was excited as this trip is not an usual shopping and makan trip, but it's kinda adventurous as we are going to take many train rides!! haha

In short, it's a 4D3N Thailand trip - a trip that aims to experience the Mother Nature and local people's life in Thailand.

Let me share some of the photos we took during the trip :)

Day 1: Depart from Singapore by flight and arrive Bangkok

on the plane

Reached the hotel at BKK

Local foods at BKK

Day 2: Started Train Ride to Kanchanaburi

We took local train travelling to western part of thailand outskirt, departing from BKK

As we need to travel for a couple of hours for the trip, need to prepare something to keep my girl occupied. =)

Reached Kanchanaburi and stayed for 1 night there - had a dinner nearby our hotel

Day 3: Continued with Train Ride to further Western part of Thailand and Return back to Bangkok on the same day

Scenery of River Kwai

Enjoying the wind as the train moved

After about 7-8 hours of train ride, we were finally back to Bangkok City again!

My girl was excited over big bed again!

Dinner at the hotel restaurant

Day 4: Touring around BKK and flying back to Singapore

Visited SEA LIFE Bangkok Ocean World - it was a fun tour, close to marine life.

Throughout the entire journey, I definitely not forget to bring the E.Excel and eLEAD wholesome food products along too, which include the below healthy breakfast set:

My healthy breakfast variety

Although the entire trip was a short and tiring one, it's fun and definitely an excellent exposure and experience for myself and my daughter and a family bonding time! =)

How to be FREE from HIGH CHOLESTEROL & HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE medication?

Heart Diseases

Have you heard of someone who is taking good care of his diet still get high cholesterols?
Have you heard of someone who is not fat, still get high blood pressure?
Have you heard of someone with just mild high blood pressure condition get STROKE?
What are the root cause of cardiovascular disease?

The root cause of cardiovascular disease is unhealthy modern lifestyle (inclusive of unhealthy diet, lifestyle, stress, ageing)

Unhealthy diet include:

Animal protein based food, Oily, fried Food, GMO food, Less fruits and Vegetables, Taking Synthetic Vitamins, Less Fiber

which result our body to
  • accumulate more cholesterols, excessive minerals such as calcium
  • acidic, under inflammation condition
  • ageing which lead to loss of elasticity function of arteries (due to loss of collagen)

<We are What we EAT>

All the above contributes to unhealthy arteries.

The buildup of plaque consisting of cholesterols, fats and calcium on the inside walls of the arteries narrows and hardens the arteries over time, limiting the flow of oxygen-rich blood to the organs, resulting in chest pain and other symptoms.

This can lead to atherosclerosis, arrhythmia, high blood pressure.

If the blood supply to heart is completely cut off by a blockage, the result is HEART ATTACK, STROKE and even DEATH.

Body Inflammation and Poor Liver Function are one of the causes leading to atherosclerosis too.

As a result of Unhealthy Modern Lifestyle,
Another common disease associated with heart diseases is FATTY LIVER.

Liver is the only organ in our body which has no sensory gland. So you may not feel any pain when the liver function starts deteriorating. Once the liver has been hardened and reach cirrhosis which eventually will lead to liver cancer, it's irreversible.

I have many friends who feel that heart medication can solve the above problems.
Why? As the reading after check up is beautiful.

Do you know how these medication work?

1. Statin (high cholesterol drug)

Statins are a class of medicines that are frequently used to lower blood cholesterol levels. They do this by blocking the action of a specific chemical in the liver that is necessary for making cholesterol.

However, is there side effect of taking STATIN in long term?

  • The two most serious side effects - both of which occur relatively rarely - are liver failure and skeletal muscle damage.
  • The muscle damage is a severe type of myopathy which usually begins as muscle pain and can worsen to such an extent that the patient loses all muscle cells, experiences kidney failure, or dies.

How long a patient with high cholesterol should take STATIN?

Will the cholesterol levels maintain at good level after they stop the medication?

Usually the patient has to take the medication for long term.
For starters, reported side effects include:
Muscle problems, polyneuropathy (nerve damage in the hands and feet), and rhabdomyolysis (a serious degenerative muscle tissue condition)Anemia
AcidosisSexual dysfunction
Immune depression
Cataracts
Pancreas or liver dysfunction, including a potential increase in liver enzymesMemory loss
More more side effects of statin can be found in the below link:

2. High Blood Pressure Medications

They help to reduce the blood flow and decrease the pressure on artery wall.
However, effects are temporary, the pressure will bounce back after some time.

These drugs are very dangerous as it can lead to a lack of oxygen in the heart and brain, ultimately increasing the risk of heart disease such as stroke and dementia.

Some drugs reduce the blood volume by reducing the heart's contraction speed and relaxing the blood vessels.

Some drugs promote urination, hence increase excretion of water and sodium, this reduce blood volume, therefore lower the blood pressure.

People taking these medication are just controlling the symptoms, but not solving the root cause.

Do you think the blockage of blood vessel is still there?

These drugs didn't remove the substance that clog blood vessels and restore the elasticity of the blood vessel wall.

According to WHO,
cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death worldwide.
An estimated 17 million people die of cardiovascular disease every year.

How to prevent yourself or your loved ones to be part of this statistic?

Prevention vs Treatment Cost?

Which one is better?

The BEST WAY to prevent and fight blood pressure, cholesterol level and liver problem is through a healthy lifestyle and a balanced diet via SUPERFOOD SOLUTION:

How to do Detoxification within our body?

Why we need to do cleansing in our body?

Take an example on slimming:

REBOUND happens as toxins remain in the body

NO REBOUND happens as toxins removed out from body.

How can we effectively detox without any side effects or negative consequences to our health?

External Toxins:

  • Pollution - air, water and food contamination
  • Medicine
  • Smoking
  • Chemical form household items such as detergent, hand wash
  • Nutrition misconceptions (such as synthetic supplements) which adds toxin accumulation within our body
  • Harmful food additives
  • Pesticides on plant foods
  • Heavy metals from plant foods
  • Radiation which affect brain or nerve damage
  • GMO foods
  • Residue of fast growth hormones and antibiotics found in foods (such as animal meat)

Internal Toxins:

  • Slow metabolism which accumulate bad cells
  • Cancer cells
  • Fat deposits
  • Free radicals which speed up ageing of body cells and DNA mutation
  • Constipation which accumulate toxins, growth of bad bacteria
  • Uric acids which affects joints
  • Cholesterols accumulation which leads to high blood pressure and heart diseases
  • High triglycerides which leads to narrowing of blood vessels, resulting lack of oxygen, fatigue, brain deterioration, stroke

With the above toxin input, it will pass through our liver to do detoxification.

To protect our body from the toxin which will harm our body, it's important to
  • Reduce toxins that enter our body
  • Enhance the efficiency of exit channels, ensure the detoxification organs and systems are healthy

  1. Skin
  2. Kidney
  3. Colon
  4. Lungs

  • Ensure Liver is functioning well also as liver is the MAJOR DETOX ORGAN in our body.

Through Nutritional Immunology approach, we can use SUPERFOODS to nourish these organs.

Here are some recommendations:

1. ORCHESTRA - made of Kumazasa and Ashitaba japanese herbs, especially excellent at detox and it's very nourishing to our liver too, therefore, enhancing detox function.

2. 1-SHAPE - made of grain fiber, american ginseng and platycodon root, especially excellent for cleansing our colon, prevent constipation, ensuring our colon system functioning well, therefore no toxin accumulation

3. TRIFLORA - made of green tea, ginseng, chrysanthemum, jasmine flower - to enhance cell cleansing from pollution, heavy metals, preservatives, artificial colouring.

4. REFRESH - made of saphorae beans, black mushroom, asparagus, mulberry and lemon - to nourish our kidney therefore enhancing the toxin purging process.

5. OXYGINBERRY - made of cactus, cactus fruits, ginseng berry, rose, grape seed and seaweed - to nourish our entire body systems including immune system and skin to stay healthy and young. When immune system is younger, we can do a better cleansing job too.

My weight management experience after delivery (Post Pregnancy)

Finally did  my photo comparisons and shared with friends on the Facebook.

During my last trimester of pregnancy, my weight shoot up to as high as 62 kg.

Although still have another 3 more kg to shed off, I am happy with the results as of now. =) Considered able to slim down quite a lot in quite short time. =)

Hmm...Actually, I am quite confident that with the knowledge that I learned about healthy weight management, I can achieve my healthy weight loss. =)

It's very simple. A few rules of thumbs on weight management, but let me see how many I have followed:

1. Watch out calorie intake, avoid oily and fried foods
My confinement food was quite oily (high calorie). After confinement, I have been eating normal meals. Just that I was conscious to avoid oily and fried foods, tried to take more vegetables.

2. Adequate Protein to Maintain muscle to burn more calories
Yes - have soy intake - a plant based protein from 1-Shape

3. Fiber intake to increase satiety and prevent absorption of oil in the intestine
Yes - have grain fiber intake from 1-Shape

4. Increase metabolism
Yes - have American Ginseng to increase my metabolism and vitality from 1-Shape

5. Exercise
No, but walked quite a lot after my confinement as attended many activities and events. Also, guess taking care of baby and breastfeeding does help.

6. Sufficient Collagen to help firm up my body and skin after losing weight
Yes - not from animal collagen, but from plant source to allow body self produce collagen - from Oxyginberry Beverage

Found this article on newspaper. The skin of this man in London became sagging after losing weight of 83 kg. So I can see that collagen is important in maintaining skin elasticity and muscle toning during weight loss.

How to lose weight healthily? Start Counting Your Calorie Today!!

If you want to do a good weight management, start counting your daily calorie intake!!!

To maintain our existing weight, daily calorie intake requirement for

- Female: about 1800 kcal/ day
- Male: about 2000 kcal/ day

When we are taking in calories more than the above requirement for a certain duration of time, we shall see ourselves starting to grow 'horizontally'!

Hence, daily calorie intake is very important in weight management. Start practising calculate your calorie intake to prevent from putting on weight!

Lowering your calorie intake is all about everyday choices of what to eat.

If you want to lose 1 kg every week, it is recommended that females take only 800 calories daily and males 1000 calories daily.

Let us check out how much calories of foods that we usually eat...

Check out how much calories we are taking in on our daily meal
  • Milkshake (1 big cup 900ml) --> 2310 kcal (Unbelievable!)
  • Double Beef and bacon Burger --> 1680 kcal
  • Fried Chicken Drumstick --> 400 kcal
  • Fries (1 large serving) --> 440 kcal

Refer to the table for other foods...

How about calorie content of other foods?
  • Cantonese fried noodles (1 serving) --> 690 kcal
  • Rice (1 bowl 180g) --> 240 kcal
  • Chicken Caesar salad (1 serving) --> 990 kcal (due to the salad sauce!!)
  • Chocolate sundae (1 cup) --> 320 kcal
  • Cheesecake (100g) --> 320 kcal

Be wise in choosing our foods - instead of fried food or foods high in sugar, choose fruits and vegetable, and boiled or steamed food. They are low in calories and are more nutritious.

For example, instead of eating a slice of cheesecake (320 kcal), choose an apple (60 kcal) to satisfy hunger pangs.

Here are some examples of such foods and the amount of calories they contain.

Be sure to include exercise as part of a healthy lifestyle also. Exercise burns calories and maintains the immune system while you are losing weight. Calories burned during exercise are affected by the intensity of workout and your weight, level of fitness and metabolism.
Let's check out how much calories burned per hour for different body weights!

Other tips for safe, effective weight loss:
  1. Drink water and eat high-fiber fruits and vegetables before meals, so that your body is hydrated and receives the nutrients it needs most first. You will also feel fuller before you start your meal and will eat less.
  2. Start off your meal by drinking soup then by eating rice and side dishes.
  3. Get enough sleep so that your body burns off enough calories during sleep.
  4. Try to avoid oil when cooking, each tablespoon of vegetable oil contains 130 calories!

Hope all will achieve your desired weight healthily :)
