OXYGINBERRY🤰❤️ 4 Pregnancies. 4 Growing Kids

Today, my four children are 12, 10, 8 and 6 years old respectively.

Looking at them now always brings me back to my four pregnancy journeys — and one nutritional choice I consistently made throughout each pregnancy was OXYGINBERRY Beverage from E.Excel. 🌱

During pregnancy, our body goes through incredible changes. Our skin stretches, connective tissues adapt, and at the same time, our body is supporting the development of a new life.

This is where collagen often becomes a topic among expecting mums.

But something important to understand:

Our body makes its own collagen.

Instead of only thinking about “taking collagen”, I chose to focus on nourishing the body that produces collagen — with adequate protein, vitamin C and a variety of nutrients from wholesome foods.

That was also why OXYGINBERRY became part of my nutritional routine throughout all four pregnancies ❤️

With its variety of botanical ingredients such as cactus, cactus fruits, ginseng berry, grape seeds, rose and seaweed. I appreciated the philosophy of giving my body a diversity of plant nutrients and phytonutrients.

For more info about OXYGINBERRY click the below:

Today, seeing my four children at 12, 10, 8 and 6, this remains a meaningful part of my motherhood journey.

Pregnancy isn't just about eating for two.
It's about nourishing wisely for two.

And when it comes to collagen:

Don't just think about consuming collagen.
Nourish the body that MAKES it.

🚨 DON’T LET HEALTH MARKETING HYPE DECIDE WHAT YOU PUT INTO YOUR BODY

NAD⁺ boosters. NMN. Anti-aging. Longevity. Cellular energy.

These are some of the biggest buzzwords in the wellness market today.

When something is marketed as the latest breakthrough, it is easy to think:

“If everyone is talking about it, it must be good for me.”

But newer doesn't always mean better — and more doesn't always mean healthier.

A recent 2026 study raised concerns that NAD⁺ boosters such as NMN, NR and NAM could actually help pancreatic cancer cells survive chemotherapy in laboratory and mouse studies.

This gives us something important to think about :

Are we choosing based on HEALTH KNOWLEDGE — or MARKETING HYPE?

Every few years, there seems to be another “super ingredient”, isolated compound or anti-aging breakthrough.

But our body doesn't function on one trendy nutrient.

🌱 This is why I still believe in going back to the fundamentals:

Wholesome plant foods. Variety. Balance. Fibre. Natural phytonutrients.

Instead of chasing one isolated “miracle” compound, give our body a wide spectrum of nutrients from wholesome plant foods as part of a balanced diet.

🌱 Why I Choose Nutritional Immunology Foods

With so many health trends and “miracle ingredients” appearing every day, I prefer to go back to the fundamentals rather than chase the hype.

I choose Nutritional Immunology foods because the focus is on:

🌿 Wholesome plant foods — not simply chasing one trendy isolated nutrient
🌿 Clean, carefully selected sources
🌿 Freeze-drying technology to help preserve the natural wholesome nutritional qualities of plant ingredients
🌿 More than 2,000 food-safety and quality tests throughout the manufacturing process
🌿 A variety of plant foods naturally providing phytonutrients, antioxidants and fibre that can support a healthy inflammatory balance

For me, health isn't about taking more and more supplements.

It is about giving my body a wide variety of wholesome plant nutrition, consistently, while reducing the things that promote chronic inflammation.

Don’t follow a health trend simply because everyone is talking about it.
Understand the science. Look at the source. Look at the safety. Then make your choice. 🌱❤️

If you’re also confused by all the health trends out there and want to understand how to choose better nutrition for yourself and your family, feel free to look for me. ❤️

I’m happy to share what I’ve learnt and help you make a more informed choice. 🌱

TCM Herbs , are herbal , so it should be safe …

“It’s herbal, so it should be safe… right?”

This is something I hear quite often.

Many people feel more comfortable taking TCM herbs or natural remedies because they think:

“It’s natural, so there shouldn’t be much harm.”

But natural doesn’t automatically mean safe.

Our liver is one of the body’s major processing and detoxification organs. What we consume — including medications, herbal preparations and supplements — may need to be processed by the body.

And certain herbs have been linked to herb-induced liver injury, especially when taken inappropriately, in high doses, for long periods, or together with other products or medications.

📊 The evidence is worth knowing:

In the U.S. Drug-Induced Liver Injury Network, the proportion of liver-injury cases linked to herbal and dietary supplements increased from 7% to around 20% during the study period.

https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PM

One well-known example is 何首乌 He Shou Wu (Polygonum multiflorum). A systematic review documented 450 reported cases of liver injury associated with He Shou Wu products; among them, 7 people died and 2 required liver transplantation

https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC4306360/

Singapore’s HSA also cautions that supposedly “herbal” or “natural” products can sometimes contain undeclared medicines, contaminants or excessive heavy metals, which may cause serious harm.

https://www.hsa.gov.sg/announcements/traditional-herbal-remedies/?utm_source=chatgpt.com

This does not mean all TCM herbs are harmful. But it worth to reminds us that:

🌿 Natural ≠ automatically safe
🌿 More ≠ better
🌿 Long-term use ≠ risk-free
🌿 Herbs can also interact with medications
🌿 Quality, dosage and suitability matter

Before taking TCM herbs continuously , especially if you are already taking medication or have liver or kidney concerns , seek advice from a qualified healthcare professional.

Don’t choose something simply because the label says “natural.”
Understand what you are putting into your body first. ❤️

Health is not about taking more things.
It’s about making better-informed choices.

Before taking any medicinal herb or “natural remedy” regularly, take time to understand what you are taking, why you need it, the appropriate dosage, and whether it is suitable for long-term use.

Your liver works quietly for you every day. ❤️
Protect it by making informed choices — not choices based simply on the word “natural.”

👉 If you found this useful, share it with someone who believes “herbal = always safe.”

Awareness today can lead to better health choices tomorrow. 🌱

Warmest regards ,

Noco + ACT

Does it feel like someone around us is always coughing, having a sore throat or falling sick lately? 🤧

It used to feel more like a “flu season”. But today, different respiratory viruses, including flu and COVID, can circulate at different times of the year.

Add in frequent travel, crowded air-conditioned places, heat, air pollution and other environmental stresses — our body and immune system are constantly facing different challenges.

And COVID has also reminded us that while most people recover, for some, the effects of an infection can last much longer.

That’s why taking care of our health shouldn’t start only after we fall sick. ❤️

🌿 NOCO + ACT
Many people loved using these two together as a combination.

NOCO — Dark Plum, Licorice Root, Ganoderma, Peppermint & Chrysanthemum

→ Formulated with a focus on respiratory support

ACT — Ganoderma, Luffa, Alfalfa & Tangerine Peel
→ Formulated with a focus on immune, circulatory & lymphatic support

Different plants, different roles — but looking at the body as a whole, rather than focusing only on one symptom.

And of course, products are only part of the picture. 🌱

Eat well. Sleep well. Stay active. Hydrate. Nourish the body consistently.

Because prevention is not something we do once in a while.

If your child seems to fall sick frequently, or you’re an adult who is constantly tired, stressed or catching bugs in the office, don’t only focus on what to do when sickness comes. 🌱

Start looking at the daily foundation too — nutrition, sleep, movement, gut health and overall immune health.

Prevention starts with what we practise every day. ❤️

Slimming Myth: Eat Less = Lose More? 🤔

When we want to slim down, the first thought is often:

“I need to eat much less.”

Yes, a calorie deficit is important for fat loss. But eating as little as possible is not the goal.

If we cut calories too aggressively—especially without enough protein and resistance exercise—we may lose muscle together with fat.

And muscle matters. 💪

Our body already uses a large amount of energy every day just to keep us alive—breathing, circulating blood, maintaining body temperature and keeping our organs functioning.

Muscle is also more metabolically active than fat tissue, meaning it uses more energy even at rest.

So instead of focusing only on:

❌ Eat less
❌ Skip meals
❌ Chase the lowest number on the weighing scale

I prefer to focus on:

✅ Create a sustainable calorie deficit
✅ Get enough protein and fibre
✅ Do resistance training
✅ Protect and build muscle
✅ Reduce body fat gradually

The goal of slimming shouldn't simply be to become lighter.

It should be to become leaner, stronger and healthier. 🌱💪

Don't just lose weight.
Lose fat while protecting your muscle.

That is a much better investment in your long-term health.

If you want to find out more about how to slim down in a healthier and more sustainable way—reducing excess body fat while protecting your muscle, feel free to reach out to me. 🌱💪

I’ll be happy to share more about nutrition, protein, fibre, resistance training, and how NI Foods can be incorporated into your daily routine to support your health goals.

Your Body Needs “Spring Cleaning” Too 🌱

We spring-clean our homes to clear what has accumulated, refresh the environment and keep everything functioning well.

But what about the body we live in every day?

Our body is constantly working—protecting, maintaining, repairing and renewing itself. And all these processes require good nutrition.

Unlike our home, our body isn't made up of separate rooms. Our different systems are interconnected and work together every day.

🌿 Nourishing 9 Major Body Systems

DNP CAPSULES combines 40+ plant-derived ingredients, providing a diverse range of naturally occurring plant nutrients to complement our daily diet and nourish the body as a whole.

It takes a whole-body approach to nutrition, supporting the nutritional needs of our:

🛡️ Immune System
✨ Skin System
🫁 Respiratory System
🌿 Digestive System
🦴 Skeletal & Muscular System
🌸 Reproductive System
⚖️ Endocrine System
🧠 Nervous System
❤️ Circulatory System

☀️ Daytime Nourishment • 🌙 Night-time Nourishment

During the day, our body faces environmental and oxidative stress.

At night, while we rest, the body continues its natural processes of maintenance, recovery and renewal.

That’s why I like this simple reminder:

Spring cleaning isn't only about removing what we don't need—it’s also about replenishing what we DO need. 🌱

Give your body diverse nutrition to support its many interconnected systems, day after day, from morning to night.

Because good health isn't built overnight.
It's nourished every day. ❤️

The Weather Is Getting Hotter… What Does It Mean for Our Body? ☀️🔥

Living in Singapore, I think many of us can feel it — some days are really getting unbearably hot! 😅

We usually think, “Hot weather means I sweat more, so just drink more water.”

But recently I learnt something interesting: heat doesn’t only affect how we feel on the outside. It can also create stress inside our body.

When our body is exposed to excessive heat for too long, it has to work harder to cool itself down. Research suggests that heat stress can affect inflammation and the way our immune system responds.

Think of inflammation like a small fire. 🔥
A short-term inflammatory response is part of our body's normal defence. But when the “fire” keeps burning at a low level for too long, it can gradually affect our health.

So besides keeping cool and drinking enough water, I’m also reminded to pay attention to how I nourish my body every day.

For me , I like to use Millennium Gold to nourish my body to help reduce inflammation .

Millennium Gold is made of Cactus together with Cordyceps mycelium . 🌵🌵🌵

🌵 Cactus

  • Contains plant compounds such as betalains, polyphenols and flavonoids
  • Provides antioxidant activity, helping protect cells from oxidative stress
  • Research shows that cactus may support a healthy inflammatory response

🍄 Cordyceps

  • Contains bioactive compounds including polysaccharides and cordycepin-related compounds
  • Studied for potential antioxidant and immunomodulatory effects

It can be as easy as mixing into your water bottle and drink it straight away.

The hotter our environment becomes, the more I’m reminded:

We may not be able to control the heat outside, but we can take better care of the body inside. ☀️🌱

Keep cool. Stay hydrated. Nourish well. Build resilience from within. ❤️

Celebrating Excellence, Leadership & Impact ✨

Honoured to be invited to celebrate DSAS’s 50th Anniversary Golden Jubilee.

A wonderful evening celebrating excellence, leadership, and impact — and a meaningful reminder of how far a vision can travel when people continue to believe in it and carry it forward.

I was honoured to meet our Guest of Honour, Minister for Health Ong Ye Kung, and to be part of such an inspiring milestone.

Looking back on this journey, I feel deeply grateful for every opportunity, every connection, every lesson, and every milestone along the way. Each experience has shaped not only what I do, but also how I see the importance of health education and the difference that knowledge can make in people's lives.

I feel very blessed to continue walking in the vision of Dr. Chen and Dr. Ee — bringing the Gifts of Health and Knowledge to more people through right education.

Because when people are equipped with better health knowledge, they are empowered to make better choices — not only for themselves, but also for their families and the people around them. 🌱

For me, that is where meaningful impact begins: one conversation, one family, and one life at a time.

As we celebrate another milestone, it is also a reminder that there is still so much more ahead.

The vision remains.
The mission continues.
The journey goes on.

Building Muscle: Why I Choose Soypro

Recently, I started incorporating more resistance training into my routine. 💪

It made me realise that building muscle isn’t only about how hard we train

Exercise provides the stimulus, but our body still needs the right nutrition to repair, maintain and build muscle.

How Much Protein Do We Need?

Protein provides amino acids, the building blocks our body uses for muscle repair and muscle protein synthesis.

For a healthy adult, the basic protein recommendation is around 0.8g per kg of body weight per day. For people who exercise regularly or are working towards building muscle, protein needs may be higher—often around 1.4–2.0g/kg/day, depending on training intensity and individual needs.

For example, someone weighing 55kg may need:

  • About 44g/day as a basic requirement
  • Around 77–110g/day when exercising regularly and focusing on muscle building

So instead of simply asking, “Should I drink protein powder?”, a better question is:

“Am I getting enough quality protein throughout my entire day?”

Animal Protein or Plant Protein?

Meat, eggs, dairy and whey can all provide high-quality protein.

However, when choosing my protein source, I don’t look only at the number of grams of protein. I also consider what comes together with that protein.

That is one reason I like soy. 🌱

Soy is considered a complete protein, meaning it provides all nine essential amino acids that our body cannot produce on its own. Research also supports soy protein as an effective protein source for supporting muscle development when combined with resistance exercise.

What About Soy Protein Isolate?

Soy protein isolate is made by processing soybeans to separate and concentrate the protein. This gives it a high protein content.

However, when protein is isolated, we are mainly getting the protein fraction, rather than the broader nutritional package found naturally in the whole soybean.

Whole soy provides protein together with naturally occurring components such as fiber, healthy fats, minerals and phytonutrients, including soy isoflavones.

That is why my preference goes beyond simply asking:

“How many grams of protein am I getting?”

I also consider:

“What comes together with that protein?” 🌱

This is why I choose Soypro as part of my nutrition routine. I prefer a more whole-food approach that focuses not only on protein intake, but also on the overall nutritional value of the food source.

Protein matters. But the nutritional package matters too.

Ready to Build Stronger? 💪🌱

Building muscle is not about protein alone. It’s about combining the right nutrition, resistance training, recovery and consistency to support your body over the long term.

If you’d like to find out more about how to take Soypro, or how to combine it with other NI Foods to better support your individual nutrition and fitness goals, feel free to reach out to me.

Why you need Fiber ?

Fiber is one of the important nutrients that many of the people nowadays are neglecting .

Importance of Fiber 🌱

When your gut is healthy, it can support many aspects of your overall health:

  • Supports healthy digestion and regular bowel movements
  • Feeds beneficial gut bacteria — many types of dietary fibre act as prebiotics
  • Supports the gut barrier, which plays an important role in protecting the body
  • Helps slow glucose absorption, supporting steadier blood sugar after meals
  • Helps you feel fuller for longer, which can support appetite and weight management
  • Helps maintain healthy cholesterol levels — especially certain soluble fibres
  • Supports overall metabolic health

Our gut doesn't work alone. It interacts closely with our immune system, metabolism and even the gut-brain axis.

Fiber Vs Probiotics

When we talk about gut health, many people immediately think probiotics.

“More probiotics = better gut health.”
“Take them every day to maintain good bacteria.”
“Probiotics can replace a healthy diet.”

But the picture is more complex. 🤔

Probiotics are strain-specific, and many are only temporary visitors in our gut. Their effectiveness can vary from person to person and depending on the condition.

For some people, probiotics may also cause bloating, gas or digestive discomfort, especially when first starting. Extra caution may be needed for people who are severely ill or have significantly weakened immunity.

Most importantly, probiotics cannot replace a healthy diet and lifestyle.

🌿 Your good gut bacteria need FOOD too — and that's where FIBER comes in.

A fiber-rich diet supports a healthier gut environment, digestion, blood sugar and cholesterol.

One of my easy convenience to increase my fiber is from:

Fibertalk :

Ingredients: Psyllium husk , banana, orange

Evernew and Evernew Orange

Ingredients: psyllium husk , orange, banana, oat

So taking care of our gut isn't simply about avoiding constipation. Getting enough fibre every day is part of building a healthier foundation for the whole body. 🌱💚

🌸 E.EXCEL MENOVIE: Nourishing Menopause Naturally

Menopause is not a disease—it’s a natural transition in a woman’s life.

But for many women, it doesn’t feel “natural.”

Hot flashes, mood swings, poor sleep, fatigue, weight gain…
These changes can feel overwhelming, especially when hormones fluctuate rapidly.

Many turn to Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). While it can be helpful for some, others are looking for a more natural, food-based approach to support their body during this phase.

🌿 Understanding Menopause from a Body Perspective

During menopause, estrogen levels decline.

This affects:

  • Body temperature regulation (hot flashes)
  • Mood and emotional balance
  • Sleep quality
  • Energy levels

But beyond symptoms, there’s something more important many women overlook…

⚠️ Menopause & Increased Risk of Chronic Diseases

With the drop in estrogen, the body loses some of its natural protective effects.

This means women may become more prone to certain chronic conditions:

❤️ Cardiovascular Disease

Estrogen helps protect the heart and blood vessels.

After menopause:

  • Cholesterol levels may rise
  • Blood vessels become less flexible
  • Risk of heart disease and stroke increases

🦴 Osteoporosis

Estrogen plays a key role in maintaining bone density.

After menopause:

  • Bone loss accelerates
  • Bones become weaker and more fragile
  • Risk of fractures increases

🔥 Metabolic Changes

Many women notice:

  • Weight gain (especially around the abdomen)
  • Slower metabolism
  • Increased risk of insulin resistance

💡 This is why menopause is not just about managing symptoms—
it’s about protecting long-term health.

⚖️ What About Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT)?

Hormone Replacement Therapy can be effective, especially for severe symptoms. It works by replacing estrogen (and sometimes progesterone) in the body.

However, like any medical treatment, it comes with potential risks and side effects—especially depending on individual health history and duration of use.

🚨 Possible Side Effects of HRT

  • Breast tenderness
  • Bloating and fluid retention
  • Headaches
  • Nausea
  • Mood changes

⚠️ Potential Long-Term Risks (for some individuals)

  • Increased risk of blood clots
  • Higher risk of stroke
  • Possible increased risk of breast cancer (depending on type and duration)
  • Increased risk of heart disease in certain groups

💡 Important note:
HRT is not one-size-fits-all, and should always be discussed with a qualified healthcare professional.

💟Can Diet improve the Discomforts that one experiences during menopause?

Yes. Studies have pointed out that consuming a large amount of plant foods reduces and prevents the various discomforts and diseases that may arise during menopause.

In particular, women going through perimenopause should eat more plant foods that are rich in phytoestrogens and high in vitamin C, which is vital for tissue repair and calcium absorption.

Physical and emotional stress triggers adrenaline synthesis and secretion, which can deplete the body's store of vitamin C.

This, in turn, suppresses immune response.

Therefore, it is important to eat more plant foods containing vitamin C.

It is also vital to consume more plant foods that are rich in calcium, dietary fiber, and plant-based protein.

👉What is the difference between phytoestrogens and animal-based estrogen?

Phytoestrogens are found in wholesome plant foods.

These foods contain many different antioxidants and phytochemicals, are cholesterol-free, and help to prevent all kinds of diseases and cancers.

Animal-based estrogen, on the other hand, is found in animal-based foods.

Animal-based estrogen is high in cholesterol and calories and is more likely to cause cancer and cardiovascular disease.

🌱 Key Plant Ingredients That Support Menopause

Here are some powerful plant ingredients that support menopause :

🌾 1. Chinese Yam (Shan Yao)

  • Helps nourish the reproductive system
  • Traditionally used to ease fatigue and night sweats
  • Supports overall hormonal balance

🌿 2. Sage Leaf

  • Helps reduce excessive sweating (hot flashes)
  • Supports nervous system and overall balance

🍇 3. Raspberry

  • Supports hormonal harmony
  • Rich in antioxidants for cellular health

🌳 4. Ginkgo Biloba

  • Supports circulation and mental clarity
  • Helps with focus and mood

🍯 5. Licorice Root

  • May help reduce hot flashes
  • Supports adrenal health during stress

As a quality convenience:

You can get these ingredients in E.EXCEL MENOVIE

💗Is a healthy lifestyle helpful for menopause?

Yes. Exercising regularly, moderating sun exposure, avoiding high blood pressure, keeping a cheerful disposition, managing body weight, and stopping smoking and alcohol consumption are all helpful for a happier life during menopause.

In addition, it is important to consult a healthcare professional promptly for advice and treatment if you experience discomfort.

💛 A More Empowering Way to Age

Menopause is not the end of vitality—it’s a new phase of wisdom.

When we nourish the body with the right:

  • Nutrition
  • Plant compounds
  • Lifestyle habits

We don’t just manage symptoms—
we protect our future health.

Singapore’s Low Record Fertility Rate - how we can help?

Read about the commentary of Singapore’s record low fertility rate

https://www.channelnewsasia.com/commentary/singapore-fertility-rate-tfr-existential-doom-opportunity-5976676?cid=internal_sharetool_iphone_08032026_cna

Low fertility rates are largely driven by the high cost of raising children, demanding work lifestyles, later marriages, and changing life priorities.

Being a mom of four children, I do agree that raising children has a very real impact on parents.

It is truly not an easy responsibility.

Beyond the financial aspect, there is also the time, energy, and emotional commitment required every single day.

For many parents like myself, certain things simply cannot be compromised — especially our children’s education and health. These are the foundations that shape their future and the values they carry into society.

While discussions about birth rates often focus on policies or numbers, the lived experience of parenting reminds us that raising a child is ultimately about building strong foundations for the next generation.

And that responsibility is both challenging and deeply meaningful.

The future of any nation is shaped by the next generation.

Perhaps the real question is: how can we create a society where families feel supported, and children can grow up healthy, wise, and resilient?

As an Excellence Lifestyle Coach, I believe the future of society is closely linked to the quality of our lifestyle, health, financial wisdom and relationships.

When people feel overwhelmed, unhealthy or financially stretched, starting a family can feel daunting.

Perhaps the real opportunity is this:

How can we empower more people to live healthier, wealthier and happier lives , so they can build the next generation with confidence?

Let’s connect to talk more about it to find out more possibilities.

Warm Regards,

Joselyne
