Noco & ACT from EEXCEL - respiratory health

🌿 Nourish Your Respiratory Health — Every Day

We often think about respiratory health only when something happens — a persistent cough, blocked or sensitive sinuses, wheezing, or asthma symptoms. 🫁

But these symptoms can have very different causes.

Asthma involves inflammation and narrowing of the airways. When triggered by things like allergens, smoke, pollution, exercise or respiratory infections, the airways can become more sensitive, causing wheezing, coughing or breathlessness.

Sinus problems often involve inflammation and swelling inside the nose and sinuses. Allergies, infections and environmental irritants may contribute to congestion, mucus and post-nasal drip — which itself can sometimes trigger coughing.

And what about coughing?

A cough is actually one of our body’s protective reflexes — it helps clear mucus, irritants and foreign particles from our airways.

When we cough, our first reaction is often:
“Take some cough syrup and stop the cough.”

Cough syrup may help relieve certain symptoms, but simply suppressing a cough doesn’t necessarily address the underlying cause.

Why are we coughing in the first place?

It could be a respiratory infection, allergies, post-nasal drip from sinus problems, asthma, airway irritation, reflux or other causes.

The same applies to asthma and sinus problems. Instead of looking only at the symptom, I believe it is important to understand what may be triggering the inflammation or irritation, while supporting our overall respiratory and immune health through good nutrition, hydration, sleep, exercise and a healthy environment.

And when a cough is persistent, severe, associated with breathing difficulty, chest pain, blood, or keeps recurring, that’s when we should seek medical assessment rather than repeatedly self-treating with cough syrup.

Don’t just silence the cough — understand what your body may be telling you. 🌿🫁

This reminds me that respiratory health is not simply about stopping a cough — we need to understand and support the body as a whole.

🌱 NOCO combines:

Ji-Lin Ginseng — traditionally used for vitality and physical resilience.
Dark Plum — traditionally used for throat and respiratory comfort.
Licorice Root — traditionally used to soothe the throat.
Ganoderma — contains polysaccharides and other compounds studied for immune function.
Peppermint — provides a naturally refreshing, soothing sensation.
Chrysanthemum — provides naturally occurring antioxidant plant compounds.

🌿 ACT combines:
Ganoderma — source of naturally occurring polysaccharides.
Luffa — provides a variety of plant nutrients.
Alfalfa — contains saponins, flavonoids and other phytonutrients.
Tangerine Peel — naturally rich in citrus flavonoids and traditionally used in Asian food and herbal practices.

These botanicals as nutritional support alongside a plant-rich diet and healthy lifestyle .

For me, respiratory wellness starts with the everyday basics too: good nutrition, hydration, regular movement, sufficient sleep, clean air and avoiding cigarette smoke.

Because our lungs work for us every single day.
Nourish well. Breathe well. Live well. 🌿🫁❤️
