Slimming Myth: Eat Less = Lose More? πŸ€”

When we want to slim down, the first thought is often:

“I need to eat much less.”

Yes, a calorie deficit is important for fat loss. But eating as little as possible is not the goal.

If we cut calories too aggressively—especially without enough protein and resistance exercise—we may lose muscle together with fat.

And muscle matters. πŸ’ͺ

Our body already uses a large amount of energy every day just to keep us alive—breathing, circulating blood, maintaining body temperature and keeping our organs functioning.

Muscle is also more metabolically active than fat tissue, meaning it uses more energy even at rest.

So instead of focusing only on:

❌ Eat less
❌ Skip meals
❌ Chase the lowest number on the weighing scale

I prefer to focus on:

✅ Create a sustainable calorie deficit
✅ Get enough protein and fibre
✅ Do resistance training
✅ Protect and build muscle
✅ Reduce body fat gradually

The goal of slimming shouldn't simply be to become lighter.

It should be to become leaner, stronger and healthier. πŸŒ±πŸ’ͺ

Don't just lose weight.
Lose fat while protecting your muscle.

That is a much better investment in your long-term health.
